In 2013, Ladies of BlizzCon was formed by like-minded women passionate about Blizzard gaming who desired to create a safe haven for women and girls to gather, chat, game, and have safe meetups at BlizzCon. Over the years, the community has grown as we met more ladies that love gaming and the sense of camaraderie as we do.

 

Our primary purpose as a group is to have a safety support net through Project Fire Mage, our communication support system that has helped many women to have a safe Con experience and help ensure that no gamer feels she is alone. Every gamer has a right to enjoy the BlizzCon experience, and members can contact fellow volunteering LoB members in the event of emergencies. With everything from anxiety to last minute housing needs, members of LoB have been there to help and provide a discreet place for women to support one another. 

 

Although we are centered around gaming, Ladies of BlizzCon is not a strictly Blizzard or BlizzCon group. It is a judgement-free group that aims to bring together women from all walks of life where we can chat, have fun, get advice, and even share our creative pursuits!
